Introduction

All competitions organised by the Courchevel Golf Club Association are the responsibility of the Executive Committee, which has sovereign authority in drawing up, planning and managing the sporting calendar. It also ensures that all events run smoothly, in compliance with the regulations in force.

Competitions are held in accordance with the Rules of Golf established by the R&A, supplemented where applicable by the recommendations of the Fédération Française de Golf (FFG), as well as by the local rules specific to the Courchevel Golf Club, displayed or communicated before each event.

Licence

All competitors must be in possession of a valid F.F.G. licence, or a licence issued by the golf federation of their country of origin, recognised by the FFG.

Failing this, registration for any competition will be refused.

Calendar and registrations

The Board will ensure that the 2025 competition calendar is announced in advance on the www.golfdecourchevel.com/evenements-2025/ website and on the Club House notice board.

For all competitions, entries must be received no later than 12.00 noon on the previous day.

The Committee reserves the right to limit the number of competitors to 104. The field will then be drawn up according to the chronological order of entries.

Medical Certificate

In accordance with the regulations of the French Golf Federation (FFG), participation in an official competition is subject to the presentation of a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to the practice of golf in competition, or the validation of a health questionnaire, in the following cases:

  • For adult licence-holders: The medical certificate is valid for 3 years, provided that the FFG health questionnaire (available on the licence-holders’ area) is completed each year. If the answer to the questionnaire is negative, a new medical certificate must be provided.
  • For under-age licence holders: Only the parental certificate validated by the health questionnaire is required. No medical certificate is required, except in special cases.
  • Absence of certificate or validation of questionnaire: Any player who has not provided the required documents before the start of the competition will not be allowed to take part.

It is the responsibility of each player to ensure that his or her licence space is up to date. The club declines all responsibility in the event of non-compliance.

Series

The competitions are organised into different series, to ensure a fair ranking for all participants. The heats are based on the following criteria:

Red markers
2nd Ladies series: Index from 26.5 to 54.0.

Blue benchmarks
1st Ladies Series: Index from 0 to 26.4.
Veteran Men 3: Players aged over 75 (born from 1950 inclusive) with an index greater than 19.9.

Yellow markers
2nd series Men: Index from 20.0 to 54.0.
Veteran Men 2: Players aged over 75 (born from 1950 inclusive) with an index of less than 19.9.

White markers
1st series Men: Index from 0 to 19.9.

Junior Series
Under 14s (born from 2009 inclusive) :
Yellow markers for boys,
Red markers for girls.

Players are classified in the series corresponding to their index and age category at the time of registration. This classification cannot be changed once the competition has started. The final ranking is based on index and performances achieved during the competition.

Departure times

The Bureau offers players to choose 2 time slots for departure:

  • Morning (7.30am – 10.00am)
  • Afternoon (12.40pm – 2.40pm)

The Bureau reserves the right not to respond favourably to specific requests from players regarding their departure time or partners.

Timetables will be posted at the Club House entrance the day before the competition and published on the Golf website.

No changes will be accepted once the draw has been made and the start times published.

A player who is forced to withdraw must inform the club as soon as possible. A player who is not present at the start and who has not notified the club will be considered disqualified. However, the Board may consider cases of force majeure and decide accordingly.

On competition day

The Commitee is empowered to :

  • Change departure times if necessary.
  • Interrupting the competition due to adverse or dangerous weather conditions.

Any decision taken by the Bureau in this respect will be based on the circumstances and the safety of the players.

Start

After paying their green fee (from €15 for adults and from €10 for juniors – born from 2011 inclusive) and taking their scorecard with them, players must arrive at the start 10 minutes early to complete the necessary formalities (card exchange, starter’s instructions).

Players who arrive late, no more than 5 minutes after their tee time, and without a valid reason, will be penalised by 2 strokes on the first hole in application of golf rule n°6-3a. Players arriving more than 5 minutes late will be disqualified.

For competitions whose starts are not regulated by a starter, players will start according to the games defined by the Bureau according to the published schedule.

Prize-giving

  • Winning players under the age of 18 cannot receive a prize in alcohol.
  • If an award-winning player is absent, his or her prize will be awarded to the next player in the rankings or by drawing lots.
  • A player cannot accumulate a prize for his classification in brut with another prize for his classification in net.
  • However, it may be combined with a prize obtained in a competition organised as part of the competition (for example, a drive or approach competition).
  • The Commitee, in agreement with the partner, reserves the right to distribute prizes by random draw.
